After completing the 2023 orienteering season with success and a number of podium wins at international competitions, Elena Roos has now ended her career.
It was an emotional farewell as Elena Roos looked back on her success on the big screen in front of a crowd of orienteering celebrities. After more than 20 years, numerous medals, podium wins and devastating injuries – from which Elena has successfully fought her way back each time – the moment has come for her to step down from professional orienteering.
However, Elena will not step down completely. In the future, she wants to help orienteering hopefuls to achieve the successes that she herself was able to achieve.
