Environmental protection with children
The children in the Waldhaasä forest playgroup know the damage that litter can cause to the natural world and collect it all year round. EGK accompanied them on a day out in the woods and, as a thank you, made one of their long-cherished wishes come true.
The commitment
22 June 2021
Throughout the year, the children collect rubbish that others have left behind in the countryside. They know exactly what this can mean for animals and plants. On a day out in the woods, come rain or shine, everyone got stuck in and collected rubbish diligently.
This commitment is sustainable in two ways: the rubbish is disposed of properly, and the children’s awareness is raised. They do not litter the natural environment themselves.
A thank you from EGK
The forest playgroup had been saving up for a fire pit for quite some time, so that the children could grill sausages, bake bread and cook soup. EGK fulfilled this wish as a thank-you for their dedication. To mark the occasion, every child received a lovely lunch, a dessert and an EGK gym bag containing sun cream, plasters and a colouring set.
